NTT announces development of Indonesia Jakarta 3 Data Center

JKT3 aims at serving the customer requirements, particularly from financial institutions and over the top management who have flexible infrastructure needs.
NTT communications, the Japan based telecommunications giant has reportedly announced to build 'Indonesia Jakarta 3 Data Center' (JKT3) in Bekasi, Indonesia.
According to trusted sources, this will be the first NTT Global Data Center (GDC) project with a capacity of 18,000 sqm IT space and 45 MW of IT load, established to strengthen their data center business.
For the record, the four-storied data center will be established in a large industrial area, 30 km east of central Jakarta. JKT3 aims at serving the customer requirements, particularly from financial institutions and over the top management who have flexible infrastructure needs.
Apparently, the demand for data centers in Indonesia has been rising mainly due to the orders by the Indonesia Government - certain regulations that were introduced to ensure that the operators who manage data must use domestic data centers. Additionally, there is a huge demand for over the top (OTTs) that mainly target Southeast Asia.
Citing reports, JKT3 meets the NTT Com's Nexcenter Data Center Standards that comprise over 300 regulations. The data center has two routes to supply power. The power facilities in the data centers are superfluous and thus, will help meet the customer's needs in an efficient manner.
In terms of the network environment, NTT Communications aims to install all the major careers' cables by different routes. Connections with major internet exchanges provided from JKT2, large- capacity global IP network, highly reliable VPN service - Arcstar Universal One are some of the benefits customers will receive from these network services.
Additionally, JKT3's network environment allows the customers to design their IT systems with neutrality along with creating a vertical ICT environment that will integrate multiple cloud services, including NTT communication data centers and companies around the world.
Indonesia Jakarta 3 Data Center is slated to begin operations from the end of 2020.
