Huawei launches new P40 Lite with 5G support & other advanced features

Huawei, a Chinese multinational technology company, has recently unveiled a smartphone, Huawei P40 Lite 5G, in its list of P40 series.

The new smartphone is the upgraded version of its Huawei P40 Lite, which was launched by the company 2 months back. It brings along 5G support, an upgraded primary camera and silicon. It features an LTPS LCD panel of 6.5 inches, supporting HDR10 at Full HD+ resolution, i.e. 1080 x 2400. It is powered by the new octa-core chipset of HiSilicon Kirin 820 5G as compared to the previous model with Kirin 810. It has the storage capacity of over 6GB RAM and UFS 2.1 storage of 128GB.

According to the company, the smartphone also features Quad camera setup, which comprises of a 64-megapixel f/1.8 primary camera (compared to the 48-megapixel camera for the previous model), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. It also has a 16-megapixel f/2.0 selfie shooter. It is packed with 4,000 mAh battery, a downgrade from the previous P40 Lite with 4,200 mAh. However, it offers a fast charging of 40W, which can provide 70% battery charge in 30 minutes.

The smartphone features NFC, 5G support, a 3.5-mm headphone jack, USB Type-C, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.1, in terms of connectivity. The android version of this phone is EMUI 10.1, which is based on the sans Google apps of the Android 10. It is the rebranded version of the smartphone that was launched in April in China, known as the Huawei Nova 7 SE.

The new Huawei P40 Lite 5G will be available in 3 colors: Midnight Black, Crush Green, and Space Silver. Customers will be given the opportunity to pre order this product, which will go on sale from 29th May across Europe.
