Samsung launches its Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 during ‘Galaxy Unpacked’

Samsung, the renowned South Korean conglomerate, has reportedly launched the new Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 at its virtual event named ‘Galaxy Unpacked’. The watch was subject to several rumors and leaks, but the company has now made an official announcement that provides clear information about the device. This watch has two dial sizes; 45mm and 41mm. Each size has two different variants, one comes with Wi-Fi only, while the other has LTE connectivity. The new watch also holds a MIL-STD-810G certification and comes in three different colors, and is water-resistant.

The company stated that the new watch boasts of several advancements over the original Samsung Galaxy Watch. Galaxy Watch 3 is 14% thinner, 15% lighter, and even 8% smaller than the original Galaxy Watch.

The company further added that with each new product launch, the capabilities of Galaxy Watch series have improved. The new Galaxy Watch 3 would provide new experiences to users in health and wellness management.

The Galaxy Watch 3 operates on Tizen-based Wearable OS 5.5. The model has a 1.2 inch circular 360x360 pixel Super AMOLED display for the 41mm variant and 1.4 inch AMOLED display on the 45mm variant.

The newly launched digital watch would be available in titanium and stainless steel variants. The user can also choose from three different options; Mystic Bronze, Mystic Silver, and Mystic Black. Notably, the stainless steel model would be available in both 41mm and 45mm models while the titanium variants would be only available in the 45mm model.

The titanium variant also comes only in Mystic Black color. Both 41mm model and 45mm model are available in Wi-Fi and LTE variants. The price of 41mm model is priced at $399 in the U.S. while the 45mm model would start from $429. As per the company, the Galaxy Watch Titanium variant would be available later in 2020.
